Day 1st: Welcome to Bali!
Welcome to Bali, Indonesia! We will pick you up from any area in Bali and Ngurah Rai International Airport Denpasar would be the destination of your flight and our team will greet you at the exit gate. Upon arrival we directly went up to the mountain area north of Bali called Munduk, a hidden nature treasure.
An approximate 3 hours driving with private cars to get check in to our accommodation. Before dinner time you are able to exploring a little bit of Munduk with it’s epic waterfalls and gorgeous mountain valley. The team of the expedition will greet you and following the night and every participants arrived we will have our first group welcome dinner together. We will have a big briefing to explain the next day activity and overall expedition details. Please note that we are suggesting you arrived in Bali a day before the 1st day of the expedition.
Day 2nd : Holy Mt. Catur in Pelaga, Tabanan.
After breakfast we are going by our private bus to Pelaga village. From our accommodation in Munduk will take about 1 hours Here are the starting point to hike Mt, Catur for about 5-6 hours in total. Summit of Mt. Catur are in 2.069m / 6.876 ft above sea level (4th tallest mountain in Bali). The hiking trail located right inside green lush rainforest which about 40% of the trail has a stairs on.
Mt. Catur is a holy land, regularly Hindunese in Bali still pray and did religious ceremony in here. There is a few historical stories about this mountain (religious and cultural) which makes it even more special to hike. On top of Mt. Catur you will see spectacular views of Beratan lake and thousand years old Hindunese temple which are called Pura Puncak Mangu. Once we had lunch at the summit and back to Munduk – we will have a visit to one of the gorgeous mountain waterfalls for a fresh dip and swim!
Day 3rd: Sacred Mt. Adeng in Baturiti, Tabanan.
Mt. Adeng (summit at 1.826m/5.990ft asl) is number 6th on the tallest mountain in Bali. We are going to have delicious breakfast at our accommodation and heading to Angseri village in Baturiti town in the region of Tabanan – continue by hiking to the summit for about 4 hours long. Lunch will served at the summit with our mountain team plus fresh hot coffee and tropical fruits. At the top of Mt Adeng we can see most Batukau area and Beratan mountain village.
We are going to pass three ancient temples along the trail as Mt Adeng is considered holy for the local community. Back from the hiking we are going to our accommodation and have group dinner together – early sleep at the evening as we will hike Mt. Sanghyang at early morning the day after.
Day 4th: The Untouched Mt. Sanghyang in Tabanan, Bali.
At 2AM we will served you simple breakfast, coffee and tea before heading to the foot of Mt Sanghyang (summit at 2.074m / 6.804ft above sea level).At this part of our expedition we are going to experience one of the most beautiful sunrise ever! Mt Sanghyang, famously known with it’s untouched nature and semi-hard trail hike will challenge you in most exciting way! This mountain has a lot to offer, such as endangered animals living around and ancient holy Hindunese area at the top.
The trail will began from 1.360 above sea level and for 3.5 hours in the dark we are hike through dense rainforest. Hundred years old trees and magnificent tropical vegetation covering most of the trails giving you the true adventure sensation! Once we reach the summit you will see two tigers statue in front of Hindunese temple – following with our mountain team will serve big breakfast and hot beverages. Don’t be surprise with the stunning summit views of the mountains around Batukau (preserve) area and Tamblingan + Buyan lake from the top.
We are going as well to explain you everything you need to know about the temples and vegetation during the hike. At the late morning we will take the trail back to hike down the mountain and heading to Tamblingan lake for canoeing and lunch at the mountain village!
Day 5th: Head to Batukaru in Tabanan, the second tallest!
About sunrise time we will get ready to check out and have breakfast at our accommodation. From Munduk our transport team will drive us to Tabanan region, home of UNESCO Jatiluwih rice terrace. We will start our hiking with full outdoor equipments together for about 5 hours hike to the top (2.276m / 7.467 ft above sea level). Batukaru is an extinct volcano which makes the ground soil very rich and the density of the rainforest along the trail is one of the thickest one in Bali. This mountain also considered as one highly sacred and holy for Balinese people.
Halfway the hike we will served you take-away authentic lunch – then at the summit your tents are ready to use for the night. We will cook together and watching one of the clearest skies every – with milky way and the southern constellation. Wood fire and some drinks will be accompany us at the evening.
Day 6th: Head to Kintamani and rest!
Around 5.30 AM we will serve you coffee and tea before the beautiful mountain sunrise coming up. From the top we as well can see Java Island, Mt Agung and other mountains in Bali. Once we packed up our equipment, our next destination is going back to the bottom and heading directly with our private bus to Kintamani for about 2.5 hours drive.
Kintamani located in the north of Ubud, a small mountain town between Mt Batur and Mt Abang. We go to our accommodation for check in and get some rest for the whole day. In Kintamani you can have little walk to some small farms and coffee shop, the local farmers here well known to produce one of the most delicious volcanic coffee in the country.
Day 7th: The Magnificent Abang and Batur!
Once we get some delicious breakfast at our accommodation, we will heading up by driving for 30 minutes to the starting hiking point of Mt Abang (summit at 2.151m / 7.057 ft above sea level). This mountain is part of the protected area in Bali as there are many endangered animals and rare vegetation found in. From Suter hiking point, to reach the summit we are passing two Camp point for about 3.5 hours.
Mt Abang summit offer such amazing views of Mt Batur, Batur lake and Mt Agung. When we reach the summit our team will serve you delicious take-away authentic lunch and after some rest we heading directly to Trunyan hills, right by the west side of Mt Abang. Get ready to embrace one of the most beautiful hiking trails in Indonesia, with spectacular views of green hills, lakes, rainforest and volcano at the same time. A great camping spot which we will use to sleep for the night – as well wood fire and authentic camping dinner.
Day 8th: Raw Adventure in Kintamani!
Around 2AM we will wake up and ready to pack our stuff – following by hiking down to Batur lake. There will be a motor boat waiting for us to reach the West-North side of the lake. For about 30 minutes of boat ride at Batur lake, we arrived at the harbor and our transportation team will be waiting for us to take us to Culali hiking trail point. This trail is the most non-popular hiking trail in Mt. Batur.
To reach the summit takes about 4 hours from the starting point. We makes sure you will have enough rest plus snacks before reaching the summit. The whole views of Batur lake, Kintamani town, Mt Agung is one of the highlights of the hiking. Mt. Batur (summit at 1.717m / 5.633 ft above sea level) is an active volcano in Kintamani, Bali. This volcano has been erupted many times and until now still produces hot spring around the mountain.
The black lava on the very West part of the volcano as well a magnificent volcanic area. From about 7 hours of total hiking time we take, a hot spring pool with delicious authentic lunch, plus fresh tropical juice will waiting for you at the end of the trail – follow by free resting time for the rest of the day!
Day 9th: 2 Rest day in Sidemen, Karangasem.
Slow morning, nice breakfast and chill before we leave Kintamani to Sidemen, an underrated countryside east of Bali. We are going to book you a full body Balinese massage! After we arrived at our accommodation, get a massage and watching the epic sunset overlooking some of the most gorgeous rice field and jungle views. A nice group games, dinner and fun night will accompany us for the evening on our rest day!
Day 10th: 2 Rest day in Sidemen, Karangasem.
At this day, we will have some preparation of small briefing, equipment list, medical check and team introduction. All of the participants would be able to have free day and explore Sidemen at it’s best. From all the 6 mountains we hike, you deserve two relaxing free days and get ready before our last (and tallest) Majestic mountain, Mt. Agung!
Day 11th: The Majesty Home of Gods, Mt. Agung (active volcano)
After nice delicious breakfast in our accommodation, we will drive together to Edelweiss Basecamp. Our mountain team will gather you around and explain one more time about the trail situation. Edelweiss trail is one of the most spectacular part of Mt. Agung (summit at 3.142m / 10.308ft above sea level); about 80% covered by semi-open space rainforest and the other 20% are rocky and full open trail.
There is about 4 post point and in the first day we will take about 4-4.5 hours to camp 4 (camping spot as well). You will experience one of the most beautiful trails with a bonus of fresh spring water at the top of the mountain. At post 4 our mountain team serving dinner and full equipment of camping will be ready to use. Following with the sunset we are going to have early rest before the Summit Attack on early morning day after!
Day 12th: One Last Summit Attack to the tallest peak!
2.30AM wake up and quick simple breakfast with hot beverages. Post 4 to True Summit of Mt Agung takes about 3 hours hike with most of the trails are rocky and lots of cliffs. An amazing stars and milky way easily can be watched from here. Once we arrived at the True Summit, you will witness the smoky crater from active volcano inside the mountain. We will have big celebration at the summit following with hot beverages and snacks! We are back at Post 4 we serve you amazing mountain breakfast before heading down to the starting point of Edelweiss and back to our accommodation in Sidemen.
Day 13th: End of the Expedition and Good bye!
In the morning we will give you a certificate full with photos of our expedition highlights. A gratitude and thank you session will be the last part of our activity before our transportation team takes you to the airport or any other side you requested.
